Vibrant, deep, original… One thing is certain, red henna color leaves no one indifferent. However, finding a hair color that is at once natural, healthy, environmentally safe, and with an intense red shade is not easy. Here we present a product that meets all these criteria and more.
Henna coloring comes from a thorny shrub that can grow up to six meters high, the Lawsonia inermis. Once matured and hand-harvested, the leaves are ground into powder and dried in the sun. Then, boiling water is added and mixed vigorously to obtain a paste with a texture neither too thick nor too liquid, with extraordinary coloring properties.
This type of hair coloring is very common in Africa and South Asia because henna cultivation requires a specific climate, tropical or subtropical. Strong sunlight is essential for the development of coloring molecules: the harsher the climatic conditions, the stronger the coloring power.
After extensive research and with twenty years of experience in plant-based coloring, we have chosen India for the cultivation of most of our natural pigments. India is a true reference in this field, offering dye plants of excellent quality that meet strict selection criteria.
All batches of henna powder we receive are tested by our team of experts before going on sale: this ensures a consistent quality for our clients.
If you are familiar with plant-based coloring and have already tried red-reflection henna, you have probably faced a recurring problem: most natural coloring powders with red undertones on the market tend toward copper-red, corresponding more to an auburn reflection. Warm, flattering highlights, but not the true cherry-red result some people seek.
After several years of research and testing, we finally found the rare gem: as its name suggests, Pure Red is a “true” red, deep and shimmering, perfectly complementing our plant-based coloring range.
With each application, the henna molecules fix around the hair fiber and accumulate on the hair: the reflections intensify and gain depth, resulting in a perfect red. We therefore recommend carrying out your first Pure Red applications at short intervals (every three to four weeks is ideal); this will ensure optimal pigment uptake and long-term color stability.
For a flawless result, we recommend leaving Pure Red on for at least one hour and fifteen minutes (but two hours is even better); in plant-based coloring, red reflections require time and patience to fully develop.
Much more advanced than simple pure henna, Pure Red also contains Ayurvedic plants: natural treasures used in India for centuries, part of a non-conventional medicine that has since spread worldwide. Thanks to top-quality plants, Ayurveda helps to heal and improve overall health.
Among the magical plants in Pure Red: Amla, renowned for strengthening and stimulating hair growth, Shikakai, an Ayurvedic powder that purifies and adds shine to the hair fiber, Catechu, a natural extract that soothes the scalp.
The combination of henna powder and Ayurvedic plants visibly and durably improves hair quality. By choosing a red-reflection henna and organic care products, your hair will become more beautiful day after day. You will quickly notice:
And since pictures are worth a thousand words, here are some before/after photos of red henna coloring done with our products:
Now that you know which red-reflection henna to choose and which process to follow to achieve a pure red shade free of orange undertones, it is necessary to establish a care routine adapted to your plant-based coloring. Vegetal coloring and natural cosmetics are inseparable: natural pigments do not penetrate the hair but fix around it, which is why they must be maintained carefully, or the color will fade. For radiantly healthy hair, we designed a 3-phase care protocol:
A tailor-made care protocol, developed and approved by our partner hairdressers specialized in plant-based coloring.
