How can you support your hairdresser during lockdown?

Our exclusive survey has spoken: hair salons are safe places, which have probably generated only 0.3% of Covid-19 contaminations*. Despite this, they remain closed, plunging business owners into a very worrying financial situation. What can you do, at your level, to support your favourite artisan?

1. Choose to consume locally

More than ever, small local businesses need you. Forget Amazon and similar platforms, and do not cross borders to get your hair done in countries that are not in lockdown.

Independent shops bring life to our towns: let us be patient and support them, because preserving your hairdresser now means keeping your town alive tomorrow.

2. Opt for click and collect

What is click and collect? It is a system in which you order online and then pick up your items on site, directly at the salon. This allows the hairdresser to prepare your order in advance and reduces social contact: it will only take you a few seconds to collect your parcel safely.

Hair care products, essential oils, custom blends of plant-based hair colour… All Hairborist products can be offered through click and collect, so do not hesitate to contact your hairdresser to find out more.

3. Think about gift baskets or gift vouchers

The end-of-year celebrations are fast approaching and, with them, the inevitable rush for gifts. This year, why not kill two birds with one stone? Offer a treatment at your favourite hairdresser or a gift basket to your loved ones. Besides bringing joy (a scalp massage or an essential oil treatment is hard to refuse), you will be doing a good deed and helping your salon stay afloat.

Together, we can limit the impact of lockdown. Let us adopt the right reflexes to support artisans.

* Survey conducted among a representative sample of 1599 people, according to the quota method, interviewed online between 6 and 24 November 2020.
